Dr. Anthony Falconer

Biography

Until 2013, Dr Anthony Falconer was the President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). Prior to this, he was the RCOG Senior Vice President and International Officer.

In July 2012, Dr Falconer was elected Vice Chairman of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges (AoMRC), the lead for the Revalidation work and later elected Hon Secretary/Treasurer of the AoMRCs.

Dr Falconer has been an active contributor in capacity development globally and, more recently, he has been invited to become the medical lead for the Zambia/UK Health Workforce Alliance.

Dr Falconer was awarded an OBE for services to women's health in 2014.
