Newborn given life-saving care.

Straight after birth this beautiful newborn baby boy was struggling to breathe. At the Hospital de los Valles in Quito, Ecuador, Dr Michele Ugazzi discovered that the baby had a tumour in his chest preventing him from being able to breathe properly.

A year previously, Kids Operating Room installed a new operating room at the hospital, and filled it with vital equipment requested by the surgical team.

It is with this equipment that Dr Ugazzi was able to remove the large tumour and the baby is now doing well.
