Rhino - “Rhinos are so well known across the world and have been around for 60 million years, which is really impressive! However, they are now on the edge of extinction, something we can all hopefully stop from happening.”
As the Health Program Evaluation Coordinator at KidsOR, Emma coordinates the Data Collection from KidsOR sites, evaluates the impact of KidsOR’s work and the overall return on investment. She also works with KidsOR’s Research and Data program in collaboration with local surgical teams across the world and their academic partners.
“I love working for an organisation like KidsOR which really makes a difference to many children’s lives, in a sustainable way. The data program can spark even more life-changing work in children’s surgery for years to come.”
Emma has a BSc in Immunology from the University of Aberdeen, and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Edinburgh. Her research interests are around the innovative implementation of long-term health interventions.
When she is not at KidsOR, you can find Emma in the outdoors where her love for them came from having grown up on a farm in rural Scotland. She believes nothing is better at the weekend than long dog walks up in the hills! She also loves baking and has made lots of celebration cakes and wedding cakes.
