The Problem
There is a GLARING gap in global health.
A gap so big, it's left billions of children vulnerable. Vulnerable to a lifetime of pain, suffering, disability, or even death from a treatable condition.
1.75 billion children currently live in a country without access to safe or timely surgery. 9 out of 10 children that live in a low- and middle-income country have No Room to Operate.
All children deserve safe surgery. Without it, common illnesses become deadly diseases. Innocent accidents cause life-long suffering. No Room to Operate means no childhood. It means no school, no education, no play, no fun, no future. For so many illnesses, it means no cure.
Kids Operating Room exists to save and transform children's lives. By installing facilities like the above, investing in local teams, and delivering high-quality surgical services for children, we're creating strong, sustainable health systems. Since 2018, we have helped to provide 100,000 children with life-saving surgery. But the work's only just beginning.
