We are delighted to share that our Chief Executive, David Cunningham, has been recognised as the International Business Leader of the Year at the 2025 UK Business Awards.

This prestigious award celebrates the most influential and dedicated leaders in the country and we're elated that David’s relentless commitment to increasing paediatric surgical capacity worldwide has earned him this well-deserved recognition.

David said, "While I am extremely grateful for, and humbled by, this award it was our founders Garreth and Nicola who had the vision to create a charity focused on saving and transforming children’s lives through better access to safe surgery. And it is our incredible team who make that a reality for children around the world every single day. It is a privilege to be able to play a very small part in that global success story."

This award not only recognises David’s leadership but also highlights the collective efforts of the entire Kids Operating Room team in driving meaningful, lasting change in global paediatric healthcare.
