Trek Kilimanjaro!

Trek Kilimanjaro for Kids Operating Room!

Saturday 4 October - Sunday 12th October 2025

Join Kids Operating Room on an unforgettable journey to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest point!

Over seven incredible days, you’ll trek via the stunning Lemosho Route, ascending through breathtaking landscapes - from rainforest and moorland to alpine desert and the Arctic plains.

But this challenge isn’t just about reaching the summit - it’s about transforming children’s lives.

Your fundraising will help create an operating room at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre in Moshi, allowing children in the community to receive safe, timely surgery for the first time ever.

As part of the experience, you’ll visit the hospital on the first evening to witness first-hand the incredible impact your efforts will have.

Your Commitment

Registration fee | £200

Minimum fundraising | From £4,000

This covers the cost of your challenge and other associated expenses.

The money you raise will support funding a children’s operating room at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre in Moshi.

Your support will be helping children like Baby Sheymaa. Sheymaa, above, spent a year of her life going back and forwards between hospitals with no clear diagnosis for her abdominal pains. Eventually the family decided to make the commitment of traveling over 200km to Muhimbilli National Hospital. A hospital equipped with a KidsOR operating room. It was here that Sheymaa finally got the care she needed and deserved. For many families, a 200km journey is simply not possible. And this is why we need your support to create more of these spaces in Tanzania.

This is more than a trek - it’s an opportunity to push your limits, make an impact, and help children in Tanzania access the life-saving surgery they deserve.
